COVID-19: In This Together

KFC restaurants across Canada are taking extraordinary measures to ensure the health and safety of our guests, team members and the communities we serve. Despite these efforts, we realize that that does not make us immune from the threat of COVID-19 transmission.

In the event that a KFC Canada team member tests positive for COVID-19, in addition to notifying the local health authority and following any instructions they provide, we will take the following actions:

• We will immediately notify all team members and operating partners who were in direct contact with the affected employee.
• All team members who were in contact with the affected employee will be asked to quarantine for 14 days, monitor for symptoms, and follow guidance provided by their local health authority and the Government of Canada.
• We will close the restaurant for 14 days. The restaurant will remain closed until we are certain there is no further risk to employees, customers or operating partners.
• The restaurant will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at time of closure and again before it reopens.

Our restaurant team members are the heart of our business and their health and safety is our top priority. In the event of a restaurant closure, we will provide support to all affected team members. Through the Yum! Brands Foundation Global Employee Medical Relief Fund, we will also be providing financial support for any restaurant employee diagnosed with or who are caring for someone diagnosed with COVID-19. While we’re still here and ready to serve you the Kentucky Fried Chicken you know and love, you will notice a few changes at our restaurants designed to ensure your safety. We also need your help to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 by following the directions of your local public health authority and by practicing social distancing.
