COVID-19: Donating 200,000 meals to Food Banks Canada

To our Canadian community,

I am writing today to share an important initiative with you. From June 15 to June 21, KFC Canada is donating one meal for every bucket sold to Food Banks Canada. Throughout the week, our goal is to donate 200,000 meals – but with your help, we hope to surpass that.

There is no denying that COVID has impacted every individual and organization across the country. KFC is no exception. Even as our cities and provinces begin to re-open, countless food drives and fundraisers continue to be cancelled, yet food bank use continues to rise. Right now, they need our help more than ever.

Feeding those in need has always been at the very core of KFC’s mission. Since 2016, through our Harvest program, we have been able to donate more than 182,000 pounds of surplus chicken in over 200 Canadian cities. During COVID, we have further expanded this program to include additional items for donation, like fresh produce.

Please join us in raising a bucket to Food Banks Canada. Because whether it’s from our kitchen or not, everyone deserves a meal.
